What is the ZviZZer Detailing Line? It's the product range for car detailing: colour-coded Thermo polishing pads, polishes across five cut levels, sealant, wax, shampoo and accessories. At Detailing1 you get the full line with 46 products, each one with a proper rundown of where it fits.

The Detailing Line is ZviZZer's detailing range — ZviZZer being the German maker of machine paint care out of Bergisch Gladbach. ZviZZer splits its catalogue into five lines; the Detailing Line is the broadest of them and covers the whole job from start to finish: washing, decontamination, polishing, protection and upkeep. Everything works together, from the pad through the polish to the finishing cloth.

• A system, not a shelf of odds and ends. 46 products that are matched to each other: 5 pad grades meet 6 polishes, and the same logic runs right through to the sealant and cloth. You pair things up by colour code, not by gut feel.
• Thermo pads with a measurable edge. ZviZZer says the exclusive foam structure of the Thermo pads lasts 5 to 6 times longer than conventional polishing foam, holds its shape under heat and won't tear. Day-to-day that means fewer pad swaps per car.
• The full size range. Pads from Ø 15 mm for the mini tool up to Ø 165 mm for the big machine, polishes in 250 ml to trial a grade and 750 ml to work with. You get every step in your machine's size.

Day-to-day from Detailing1: The most common slip at the pad shelf is reaching for the hardest combo because it looks like the quickest fix. Start one step softer than you think you need and work a test spot of 50 by 50 centimetres. If it doesn't cut enough, step up. That leaves more clear coat on the car and saves you the second finishing pass that a too-hard combo almost always calls for.

One line for detailing, four more for the special cases

ZviZZer doesn't build its products as a loose collection but as five clearly separated lines, and the Detailing Line is the backbone for anyone who details cars.

Alongside the Detailing Line, ZviZZer runs the Body Shop Line for paint and bodywork shops, the Marine Line for boats, the Speed Polishing System for one-step polishing and the Sanding System for sanding. That split is more than marketing: fresh repair paint behaves differently from cured factory paint, gelcoat differently from clear coat. Each line is tuned to its surface.

You can tell the line comes from the pro side by the company it keeps: ZviZZer trains detailers through partners in eleven European countries, from Spain to Sweden. So the products weren't dreamt up at a desk but in workshops where cars get polished every day. You benefit from that even without any training, because the way the line is laid out mirrors exactly that experience.

For you that's a solid, practical win: inside the Detailing Line you never have to cross-check anything. Every product in the line is meant for cured car paint, every polish plays nicely with every pad in the line, every cloth handles the chemistry. Thermo foam and colour code make the system predictable

The technical heart of the Detailing Line is the Thermo pads: an exclusive foam structure that, ZviZZer says, lasts 5 to 6 times longer than ordinary polishing foam and keeps its shape under heat.

Why it matters: machine polishing throws off friction heat, and conventional foam goes soft, loses its cut and in the worst case tears off the backing plate. Thermo foam holds its structure, so the cut stays even across the whole bonnet instead of dropping off after three passes. On our full details a single orange pad handles a whole side of the car, as long as you knock it out now and then.

The second building block is the colour code. Each pad hardness has its colour, from blue for Ultra Hard through red, orange and yellow to green for Ultra Soft, and the polishes carry a cut scale on the label that shows exactly where they sit. You can see at a glance which combo belongs together. That makes results repeatable, even if you're not polishing every day.

Then there's the shape logic: the Trapez profile lays its bevelled edge cleanly into curves and body lines, the Allrounder is the straight classic for flat panels, Cone pads at Ø 30 by 40 millimetres reach spokes and door-handle recesses, and Mini pads at Ø 15 and 25 millimetres work on smart repair. Wool, velour, hybrid and microfibre back up the foam wherever you need more cut or a different finish.

Picking the hardness comes down to a simple bridge: blue and red are the cutting pads for HC 4000 and PC 5000, orange carries the one-step work with MC 3000 or One Polish, and yellow and green take the finish with FC 2000 and UC 1000. Then there's the paint itself: German makers mostly run hard clear coat that can take a harder pad, while a lot of Japanese paints are soft and thank you for the gentler step. When in doubt, the test spot decides, not the chart.

From heavy cut to microfibre cloth, it all links up

The Detailing Line range at Detailing1 runs to 46 products across four areas, and you can grab them from us singly or as sets of 3, sets of 10 and box sets.

The core is the ZviZZer polishes: HC 4000 as a cutting polish for clear defects, MC 3000 and One Polish as one-step answers, PC 5000 as the pre-step, FC 2000 and UC 1000 for the finish. The numbers aren't decoration but the grit logic of the cut scale: the higher the figure after the code, the coarser the polish works. Alongside them come the polishing pads in five grades and five shapes, plus the Pad Cleaner that brings clogged pads back to life: spray it on, let it sit for a minute or two, rinse under running water.

The protection side is handled by the car care range: Graphene Ceramic Coat as a ceramic coating in a 50 ml bottle, plus the spray sealants with honest durability figures printed right on the label. Wet Coat holds 2 to 3 months or around 2,500 kilometres, Quick Shine as a quick detailer 1 to 2 months, Graphene Spray Coat 3 to 5 months or 4,000 kilometres. Three waxes from carnauba to graphene and two shampoos in 1-litre bottles round the area off.

In the accessories you'll find the edgeless microfibre cloths at 40 by 40 centimetres in six colours for keeping your work areas cleanly apart, the Clay Pad at Ø 160 millimetres as a long-lasting alternative to clay, and the applicators for wax and ceramic. The official Sanding System, by the way, also sits under ZviZZer's Detailing Line; we'll only bring that in once the demand is there.

Decide first, polish second: how the Detailing Line works

The Detailing Line follows a fixed order, and if you stick to it you save yourself extra correction laps: clean surface first, then defect correction, then protection.

In practice that means: wash with the Allround or Sour Shampoo, decontaminate with the Clay Pad and a lubricant like Quick Shine, then the test spot. Its result gives you the pad-and-polish combo: hard pad plus HC 4000 for deep wash marks, medium pad plus MC 3000 if you want it in one step, soft pad plus UC 1000 for that last bit of gloss.

On dosing, the rule is: three or four pea-sized dots on the pad, no more. Too much polish smears, drags out the wipe-off and burns through product. A 750 ml bottle will carry you through plenty of cars, while the 250 ml bottle is there to get to know a new grade. And after every side of the car, knock the pad out so the cut stays even.

Working the machine is about more than the right chemistry: go in a cross-hatch, overlapping each pass once horizontally and once vertically, let the machine run without pressure and keep the speed moderate until the polish is fully worked in. Tape off edges and body lines beforehand, that's where the clear coat is thinnest. Those are the five minutes of prep that save you hours of rework later.

After polishing, Clean Top strips the surface so Graphene Ceramic Coat or a wax actually bonds to paint instead of sitting on polishing oils. An honest limit belongs here too: scratches your fingernail catches in have gone through the clear coat. Even a heavy cut won't pull those out, only the paint shop can.

Body Shop, Marine, Speed, Sanding: what the other lines are for

The four sister lines tackle special cases that rarely come up in classic detailing, and that's exactly why we don't stock them right now.

The Body Shop Line is cut out for paint shops: freshly sprayed, still-soft surfaces, sanding dust from the booth, finishing after a repair. The Marine Line brings polishes, pads and cloths for gelcoat, which is a good deal thicker and more brittle than car paint and reacts differently to heat. If you're detailing your own car, you need neither.

The Speed Polishing System is ZviZZer's answer to time pressure: cut, gloss and protection in one pass, with its own Speed polishes and Ufo Thermo pads. For volume work with light defects it's a pragmatic fix; on deeper scratches and a demanding finish the one-step approach hits its limit, and then you're better served by the classic step-by-step work of the Detailing Line.

A typical judgement call: a dark estate, three years of automatic car washes, even fine wash marks, and you want it shining by the weekend. That's Speed territory for a pro doing volume, but in your own garage you'll get there just as fast with MC 3000 on the orange Trapez pad, and you keep control over every step. The moment a few deeper scratches come into it, there's no way round the classic step-by-step work anyway.

Your way into ZviZZer's Detailing Line

You don't need 46 products to start: three items are enough for the first real, visible step up on your paint.

Our pick to start with: One Polish as a fuss-free one-step polish, an orange Trapez pad as the universal middle ground, and a green edgeless cloth for the wipe-off. Edgeless means there's no stitched border on the cloth, so no hard seam to drag fine scratches into freshly polished paint as you wipe. With that you correct light wash marks and holograms and get a feel for how the Thermo foam handles along the way. If you already polish, jump straight in with the test spot and the cut scale.

When you restock, the set tiers help: pads come in packs of 10 and in a box of 50, polishes and care in sets of 3 and 10, each at the added-up single price with no markup. That pays off once you're working regularly or sharing the same shelf with a few other people.

The line stays your system even after the detail: for the maintenance wash you reach for the mild Allround Shampoo, and after a fresh sealant the acidic Sour Shampoo, which lifts limescale spots and frees up the coating's beading again. Quick Shine perks things up between washes, and with Wet Coat you top up the protection in two minutes while you rinse. That keeps the result of your polish visible for months instead of fading by the third wash.
