COLOURLOCK "Leather Fresh" (Porsche) — Porsche Leather Care Colour

COLOURLOCK Leather Fresh for Porsche: nourishing color cream for factory-accurate refreshing

What is COLOURLOCK Leather Fresh for Porsche? — The water-based leather care dye combines care and light color refreshment — ideal for regularly used Porsche leather interiors without extensive pre-treatment.

COLOURLOCK Leather Fresh (Porsche) is a pigmented leather care dye that nourishes and simultaneously compensates for minor color loss in one step. The care dye is based on original Porsche color samples and is formulated to blend harmoniously into existing surfaces. Perfect for regular care of pigmented smooth leather without the effort of a complete repair.

Care & Color in one – Saves a step — nourishes and refreshes at the same time.
Original Porsche colors – Factory-accurate color samples for seamless transitions.
Quick and uncomplicated – No sanding, no top coat strictly necessary.

💡 Practical tip from Detailing1 workshop: We use Leather Fresh in our workshop as standard care for every detailing job — even if the leather still looks okay visually. 100ml is enough for a complete pair of seats including the steering wheel. Evenly moisten a microfiber pad, work in circular motions, then buff with a second pad. Looks like new from the factory after 5 minutes.

Care Routine in 15 Minutes per Pair of Seats

Leather Fresh (Porsche) is applied as a care routine every 6-12 months — work in with a microfiber pad, buff with a second pad, done. An application takes about 15-20 minutes per pair of seats.

Before application, the leather is cleaned with leather cleaner and wiped damp. After a short drying period, a microfiber pad is moistened with about 3-5 ml of Leather Fresh (Porsche) and worked evenly into the leather surface in circular motions. Immediately buff with a second dry microfiber pad until the typical matte, velvety OEM sheen is achieved.

The water-based care dye penetrates the uppermost pigment layer and simultaneously seals the fiber. Unlike professional Leather Colour (Porsche) repair, neither fillers nor sanding or top coat are strictly necessary. For heavily used areas such as seat bolsters or the steering wheel, top coat can be additionally applied to extend durability to 18-24 months. A 100ml bottle is sufficient for about 2-3 complete care applications.

Care Yes, Repair of Deep Damage No

Leather Fresh (Porsche) is the care variant for minor visual imperfections — faded sheen, dull areas, superficial color loss. Deeper abrasions or cracks require the repair stage.

The care dye is formulated to penetrate and refresh the intact pigment layer. However, if the layer is worn through or cracks are present, Leather Fresh cannot cover the damaged area — the fiber will be visible and absorb the color unevenly. Suede, velour leather, and Alcantara are cared for with Nubuk Fresh (Porsche), as their rough fiber structure requires a different carrier solution.

If the leather is only faded or appears dull, Leather Fresh is the quickest and cheapest solution — about 4-5 euros per care application. If, on the other hand, deep abrasions or cracks are present, Leather Colour (Porsche) with filler and top coat is used. Both products are based on the same original Porsche color samples and can be combined.

For Regular Care Without Workshop Tools

Leather Fresh (Porsche) is the care solution for private customers, frequent drivers, and leaseholders who want to regularly refresh their Porsche leather — without sanding, filler, or workshop tools.

The easy application in 15 minutes per pair of seats makes Leather Fresh the standard care for every interior detailing. Those who meticulously care for their Porsche vehicle two to three times a year will keep the leather looking new permanently and prevent the typical abrasion marks on seat bolsters and the steering wheel. A 1-liter bottle is sufficient for about 30-50 complete care treatments for a mid-range vehicle.

For heavily used seats with visible abrasion or for complete detailing before sale, one should opt for Leather Colour (Porsche) or the Leather Care Set (Porsche) with all components. However, for those who want to regularly maintain rather than restore, the 100ml bottle or the 1-liter container of Leather Fresh will suffice.

What is COLOURLOCK Leather Fresh for Porsche?

COLOURLOCK Leather Fresh (Porsche) is a pigmented leather care dye in original Porsche colors. It nourishes the leather, refreshes minor color loss, and seals the fibers — all in one step.

How often should I apply Leather Fresh?

As a care routine, we recommend Leather Fresh (Porsche) every 6–12 months. For heavily used vehicles (frequent drivers, lease returns), every 3–6 months. One application takes approx. 15–20 minutes per pair of seats.

What is the difference to Leather Colour?

Leather Fresh is the simple care variant — no sanding, no top coat mandatory. Leather Colour (Porsche) is the professional repair with filler, sanding, and top coat sealing. For visible damage → Leather Colour; for matte/slightly faded surfaces → Leather Fresh.

Do I absolutely need a top coat?

No, not necessarily. Leather Fresh has its own sealing function. However, for heavily stressed areas (seat bolsters, steering wheel), an additional Top Coat Dull or Glossy is worthwhile for maximum abrasion resistance.

What are the most common mistakes we see?

Two classics: (1) Leather not cleaned beforehand — care absorbs unevenly. (2) Too thick a layer applied — appears sticky and remains greasy. Better 2 thin layers than 1 thick one.

Does Leather Fresh also work on natural leather?

No, Leather Fresh is exclusively suitable for pigmented smooth leather (standard in the automotive sector). For natural leather, aniline leather or suede, there are separate COLOURLOCK product lines.

Care instructions for Leather Color (Porsche):

Leather Fresh (Porsche) is the care variant for minor optical imperfections — faded sheen, dull areas, superficial color loss. Deep abrasions or tears require the repair level.

The care color is formulated to penetrate the intact pigment layer and refresh it. However, if the layer is worn through or there are tears, Leather Fresh cannot cover the damaged area — the fiber becomes visible there and absorbs the color unevenly. Suede, nubuck, and Alcantara are cared for with Nubuk Fresh (Porsche), as their rough fiber structure requires a different carrier solution.

If the leather just looks faded or dull, Leather Fresh is the quickest and most affordable solution — about 4–5 euros per care application. If, on the other hand, there are deep abrasions or tears, Leather Color (Porsche) with filler and top coat is used. Both products are based on the same original Porsche color samples and can be combined.
