Day-to-day from Detailing1: Q² Mohs EVO lives or dies on the prep. After polishing, degrease the paint completely – best with the GYEON Q²M Prep degreaser – and make sure there's no polish residue left behind. Lay it down at 15–25°C and in the shade for the best results. Once it's on, plan for at least 12 hours of curing time and keep the car away from moisture during that window.

GYEON Q² Mohs EVO is built on a highly concentrated SiO₂ formula that, as it cures, forms a chained silicon-oxygen structure – chemically close to glass. Applying GYEON Q² Mohs EVO is built for experienced detailers. The starting point is perfectly prepped paint: cleaned, decontaminated (clay or chemical decon), polished (all swirls pulled out – a coating visually magnifies any defects that are still there) and degreased with Q²M Prep. Then lay GYEON Q² Mohs EVO down thin and even with the supplied applicator over one panel at a time, spread it evenly with the control side of the applicator cloth, and after a short flash time (the surface goes slightly tacky) buff it out evenly with a fresh microfibre cloth. Don't let too much time pass on any one section – too long a flash time and you get streaking. After 12–24 hours comes the curing phase.

Applied right and looked after regularly, GYEON Q² Mohs EVO lasts several years under normal conditions. The hydrophobic beading stays active across the whole run, and the gloss drops off only slightly.
